Richard was born on June 30, 1971, in Brooklyn, NY to Richard and Maureen (Kirk) Johnson. Richard was raised in Brooklyn before moving to Dingmans Ferry, PA while in high school and settled in Sussex County in 1998. Richard was a proud Coastal Guard Veteran and later on worked for Newton Medical Center for 16 years. He enjoyed disc golf, snowboarding and was a great cook. Richard cherished spending time with his family and friends.
The beloved husband to Staci (Gough) Johnson, Richard is survived by his children Logan and Juliana Johnson; his father Richard Johnson; his sister Lori Erhl and her husband, Ron; his brother-in-law John Gough and his wife, Danielle; his nieces Bella and Kylie; his father-in-law Bruce Gough and his partner, Susan Elias and his mother-in-law Edna Gough. His mother, Maureen Johnson predeceased Richard.
A visitation will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ 07860. A funeral service will begin promptly at 5 p.m.
