Peter was born on October 14, 1964, in Jersey City to Joseph and Mary Gianattasio. Starting his career at just 18 after graduating from Hasbrouck Heights High School, he worked over 40 years as an electrical lineman and dedicated himself to a job he took pride in.
Peter was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting, farming, and skeet shooting. He was a proud member of the Pioneer Gun Club where he continued to sharpen his hunting skills. Known for his craftsmanship, he could make or fix anything and was always willing to use his talents to help those around him.
Peter loved evenings he spent with his friends playing cards, and he had a soft spot for his cherished dogs. Above all, Peter loved his family deeply and treasured every moment spent together. His warmth was so magnetic that even his children's friends would often stick around, enjoying his company just as they would a friend. Peter will be greatly missed by many friends and family alike.
Peter leaves fond memories to his beloved wife Marcy Gianattasio; his children Haley, Joseph, and Jacob Gianattasio; his son Paul Kimble; his daughter Mackenzie Shea; his sisters Michelle (Joe Gerardi), and Kathleen Gianattasio; his parents Joseph Gianattasio and Mary Bernadette; and his mother-in-law Sonia Gavitt.
A Memorial Mass for Peter will be held Monday, November 4, 2024 at 10 am at Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church, 209 US-206, Branchville, New Jersey 07826. A celebration of Peter's life will follow, with details to be announced after the service.
