She was a lifelong resident of Sussex County and was employed as a nurses aide prior to her retirement in 2008. Patricia enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. Her family shared that she was the strongest women they had ever known.
Patricia is survived by her son Walter Hill (Donna) her 3 daughters Deborah Hill Sommer, Elizabeth A Hill, (Gary Gaertner) and Naomi Lee (Pete).
Patricia was preceded in death by her 2 daughters Christine Reed and Lisa Morgan; her father Dewey Garris and her mother Flora Ryerson Garris; her brother Robert Garris and her 3 sisters.
Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation for Patricia will be held Friday, September 15, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, NJ 07860. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 12:30 PM from the funeral home. Interment to follow in the Branchville cemetery.
