Nancy E. Weaver

Nancy had a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ and we take comfort in knowing that she is in heaven now celebrating with Jesus.

Nancy was born and raised in Passaic Park, New Jersey. Nancy graduated from Passaic High School, Class of 1975. While in High School, Nancy attended Hi-BA (High School Born-Againers) meetings which were held at her parents’ house each week. She went on to study at Northeastern Bible College, in Essex Fells, New Jersey.

Nancy resided in Highland Lakes, New Jersey, where she enjoyed going to the Lake with her granddaughter Victoria.

Through the years, she was an active member in church where she taught Daily Vacation Bible School.

Nancy worked as a Credit Manager for numerous years. She also was an IBO (Independent Business Owner) with Amway Corporation.

She had an enormous love for animals especially her faithful dog, Max, whom she adored and also her talking parakeets, Sonny, Spock, Andy and Annie.

Nancy attended Calvary Baptist Church, with her husband, Steve, where they started a Coffee House named Calvary Cafe. Once a month Nancy and Steve would invite church members and non-members to join them in singing songs of praise and to hear a Bible devotional. Nancy had a fond love of music. She was a self-taught guitar player and in recent years sang with a Praise Group at her church. She had a huge heart and cared for family and friends unconditionally.

Nancy loved being with family and you could always expect a great big hug from her. She loved to cook and bake and was always happy to bring a new recipe or dessert to any event she was invited to.

Nancy was predeceased by her loving parents, Cornelius and Jeanette Hoogmoed Jr. Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Weaver, her daughter, Sarah and her husband, Rich Cadenas, and her grandchildren, Victoria and Parker. Nancy is also survived by her brother and his wife, Neil, and Lori Hoogmoed and their children, Kristen, Stefanie, Michele, and Neil Jr. their spouses and Neil’s and Lori’s grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Joyce Hoogmoed Massaro and her daughter, Lisa and her husband. Nancy is survived by her Aunt Carol and Uncle Leonard DiLeo and their daughter, Allison Lupo and her son, Bobby.

Nancy is survived by Stephen’s children, daughter, Kim and John Saginairo, and their children, Aiden and Aubrey, Stephen’s son and his wife, Kyle and Keri Weaver, and their child, Lincoln. She is survived by her mother and father-in-law, Walt and Jennie Weaver, and her brother-in law and his wife, Mike and Theresa Weaver,

Due to the Covid-19 virus, there will be a Celebration of Nancy's life which will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton.
