Margaret was born on July 13, 1987 in Summit to Brian and Teresa (DeMaio) Roche. Margaret, affectionately known by most as Maggie, grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton High School. Maggie’s quick wit and hearty sense of humor made her a patron-favorite at O'Reilly's Pub and Grill in town, where she worked as a bartender and manager for many years. In her spare time Maggie enjoyed cooking, loved listening to music and watching movies, and was fond of traveling and exploring new places. She adored the Christmas season and had a strong affection for all animals.
Margaret is survived by her mother, Teresa Roche; her siblings, Theresa Mendoza, Joseph Roche and Afroditi Kontos; her niece and nephews, Julius Kontos, Adrianna Mendoza and Anthony Mendoza and many loving aunts and uncles. Margaret is predeceased by her father, Brian Roche and her siblings, Nicholas Roche and Jennifer Roche.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ. A funeral service will take place on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place privately at Newton Cemetery.
