Linda L. Larick, age 68, of Andover Township, New Jersey passed away at home on Monday, January 2, 2023. Linda was born at the Orange Memorial Hospital in Orange, New Jersey on January 4, 1954 to the late Benjamin Larick and Hyla June Wilson.
Linda’s boundless compassion led her to dedicate over 25 years as a direct support professional, providing care for people with disabilities so they may lead better lives. She worked at Willowglen Academy for the majority of her career before relocating to Rose House in Cedar Knolls. Linda also volunteered with the Newton and Parsippany First Aid Squad.
Linda enjoyed her many trips to Maine and had a passion for camping. She loved cats, caring for people, and was especially fond of watching her kids and later on, her grandkids, playing sports. Above all, Linda cherished the time she spent with her loving family.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Long of Andover, NJ; her son, Ronald Gill of Lake Ariel, PA; her brothers, John Larick of Rockaway, NJ and Ben (Rick) Larick of Dingmans Ferry, PA; her sister, Susan Hoppe of Greeley, PA; and her 7 grand-daughters.
A memorial service for Linda will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, NJ 07860, with a funeral service at 7 p.m.
