Leah was born in Wantage and raised in Stillwater. After high school, she attended cosmetology school before starting her family. Leah worked in environmental services for Hackettstown Community Hospital for more than 20 years prior to retirement.
Leah was a member of the United Methodist Women in Tranquility and the Allamuchy Seniors. She had a lifelong love of reading and word puzzles. Recently, Leah enjoyed traveling with family. She was a woman of great strength and often sacrificed her own comforts so her family could prosper. Leah’s greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Leah was predeceased by her parents, Edwin and Susan Jane (VanHorn) Buckley; her children, Clinton Cook and Donna Cook; and her brother, George Buckley. She is survived by her children, Juanita Wnoroski, Sharen Stagg (John), Dianne Headrick (Bill), Dale Cook (Sandy), and David Cook; her daughter-in-law, Charlene Cook; her grandchildren, Jolene Bene (Scott), John Stagg (Marilyn), Wayne Haggerty (Amanda), Angel Jammal (John), Katy Vaughn (Michael), William Headrick, Mary Sagar (Matt), David Cook, and Alexander Wnoroski; and her great-grandchildren, Jeremy Bene, Bryce Stagg, Tyler Bene, Ryan Bene, Ryder Stagg, Daniel Stagg, Amy Kate Vaughn, James Vaughn, and a Vaughn on the way.
Visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St, Newton, NJ, with Funeral Services beginning at 12 pm. Interment will follow in Stillwater Cemetery, 930 Maple Ave, Stillwater, NJ.
