Janice Elaine Ballantyne

Janice was born in Passaic on July 18, 1959 to the late Julius and Sylvia (Glick) Bubis. Janice grew up in Passaic before settling in Sussex County in 1987. She earned her bachelor’s degree in 2007 at Saint Elizabeth University. Janice was a legal secretary for Sussex County Sheriff Office and was due to retire in July. In her free time she was considered a master gardener and was known for her vibrant array of flowers and plants that flourished under her care. Janice, in her whimsical nature also appreciated theater.

The beloved wife to Russell Ballantyne, Janice is also survived by her daughter, Raven Ballantyne and her brother, Allen Bubis. Along with her parents, Janice was predeceased by her sister, Arlene Bubis.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ 07860.
