Born in Paterson, NJ, to Gavin and Dorothy (Crone) Anderson on March 3, 1942. Doug was raised in Glen Rock, NJ. Doug resided in Wyckoff, NJ prior to moving to Montague, NJ in 2003. Doug and his father were the owners of The Anderson Press, Inc. in Hawthorne, NJ. Doug was a member of the Hawthorne Gospel Church and the Milford Bible Church. He had a great love of the outdoors, especially fishing at the Jersey Shore or the Florida Keys. He enjoyed watching Nascar along with a passion for sport cars.
Doug is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy Rockwell Anderson, his daughters, Leslie Lynn Anderson (Ted Levondosky) of Pottstown, PA, and Christen Joy Romeo (George) of Stillwater, NJ, two grandchildren, John Domenick Romeo and Shane Anderson Romeo.
One sister, Jean S. Walker and nephew, Jamieson Walker, of Oakland, CA. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Sharon Lee Anderson in 1973.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 9th at 11AM at the Milford Bible Church, 110 Foxcroft Dr, Milford, PA 18337.
Friends and family may attend the visitation at the church from 10 AM to 11AM.
