Betty was born and raised in Branchville, NJ, eventually relocating to Andover Township. She married the love of her life, Earl, and together they raised two daughters. She devoted her life to her family as a mother, grandmother, friend, confidant, babysitter, and she always provided good advice. Betty and her late husband were Senior Citizens of the year in Andover Township for their service as Meals on Wheels volunteers. Betty was employed as a telephone operator for 32 years with United Telephone prior to her retirement in 1982.
Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband Earl E. Roe, and her daughter Patricia Tallman.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Denise Cooper (David); her 6 grandchildren, Terri Tallman, Larry Tallman Jr., Gregory Tallman, Shelley Cooper-Mufferi, Taryn Macaluso, Shannan Cooper; her 6 Great grandchildren, Christopher Tallman, Cari Tallman, Rowen Mufferi, Cooper Mufferi, Emma Macaluso, and Connor Macaluso; along with 6 Great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Betty will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, NJ 07860.
Burial will be held in the Newton Cemetery, Lawnwood Ave, Newton, New Jersey 07860.
