Dee was born in Newton and was a lifelong Sussex County resident. She graduated from Sparta High School and went on to have a 40-year career as an Administrative Assistant. Dee worked for Prudential Insurance Company as well as Mayflower Constructors prior to retiring.
Dee was a member of the Sparta Ladies Auxiliary for many years. After moving to Stillwater, she became involved with the Stillwater Area Volunteer Fire Company. Dee found great joy taking Sunday trips to the casino with her friends.
Dee was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Jean (Layton) Katzenstein. She is survived by her children, John Drake and wife, Jackie, and AJ Dibiase and husband, Cory; her grandchildren, Cassidy, Baylee and Mackenzie; and her brother, Hap Katzenstein and wife, Carol.
A Celebration of Life will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at the Stillwater Firehouse, 929 Stillwater Rd, Newton, NJ.
