Donna War

Donna was born in East Orange on April 18, 1953 to the late Michael and Freddie Jeanne (Moon) War. Donna was raised in East Orange, NJ and graduated from Clifford Scott High School in 1971. She spent the next many years in Paterson, NJ until moving to Budd Lake and currently settling in Hackettstown for the past three years.

Prior to her retirement, Donna worked in Accounts Receivables for Thomas’s English Muffin. Donna was quick to humor and held strong convictions. She was a staunch advocate for animal rights internationally and was a loyal friend.

Donna is survived by her brother, James Morano and his wife, Linda; her nieces, Dina Meddings and her husband, Mark and Lynette Morano; her cousins, Tracy Reinmiller and Shiela Giugliano and her loving cat, Nicky.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Church of the Covenant, 319 Blau Road, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Interment will take place at Pequest Union Cemetery in Great Meadows, NJ at a later date.
