Denise Marie VanNess

Denise was born on May 20, 1958 in Newark to the late Theodore and Joyce (Edwards) Allwood. She lived in Sussex County since age 9. Her faith in God, her children, her 2 dogs and her close family and friends were her priorities in life. She was a business owner in the office supply industry. She loved nature, bird watching, animals, hiking, biking, and bowling. Her approach to life was “living one day at a time” and “making the most of each day”. She exuded love, joy, kindness, perseverance, acceptance, encouragement and gratitude.

Denise is survived by her children, Drew VanNess (and wife Alyssa), Lindsay, Ciara and Devon VanNess and her siblings, Dawn Billing (and husband Rick), Tracy Mann (and husband Chris) and Ted Allwood (and wife Stephanie), her stepmother Margie Allwood and her family, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. at Andover Township Firehouse, 625 Limecrest Road, Newton, NJ 07860.
