Anna Marie was born on November 13, 1930 in Passaic to the late Vincent and Dominica (Scrivanich) Fleck. Anna Marie grew up in Lyndhurst and lived in Wayne and Wyckoff before settling in Stillwater over 20 years ago. Anna Marie was a proud graduate of Montclair State, where she earned her bachelor's degree.
Anna Marie discovered a passion for music at an early age, leading to a lifelong devotion to the arts. A gifted pianist, she enchanted audiences with performances that blended technical skill and heartfelt emotion. As a music teacher, Anna Marie inspired countless students to find their own voices, nurturing their love for music with patience and enthusiasm. In addition to her musical talents, Anna Marie was a skilled organist, sharing her gift during services at St. Elizabeth in Wyckoff for many years. She was also a passionate visual artist, expressing her creativity through oil painting and watercolor.
A dedicated community member, Anna Marie served on the Stillwater Township Environmental Commission, advocating for the preservation of the natural landscape she loved. She volunteered for many years at the Sussex County Fair, and she was a long time member of the Historical Society of Stillwater Township.
The beloved wife to the late Joseph A. Guidetti, Anna Marie is survived by her children, Mary Guidetti-McColl (Walter) and Edward Guidetti; her sister, Veronica (Fleck) Geiger; her cousin, Dan Morin; her grandchildren, Kevin McColl (Ashley) and Ellen McColl; her great-grandchildren, Aiden, Alexander and Caden McColl and many loving family members. Along with her parents and husband, Anna Marie was predeceased by her daughter Jane Anne Guidetti
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 2 pm - 6 pm at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 10 am at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Roman Catholic Church, 203 Swartswood Rd, Newton, NJ. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd RC Cemetery in Andover, NJ.
