Born May 25, 1921 in Newton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Fred Manley and Beulah Martha Propst Ramseur.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ed Hewitt; daughter, Jan Hemphill and husband, Rick; grandchildren, Austen Goodgion & husband, Chris, Taylor Hemphill and wife, Ashley, Kirby Householder and husband, Curt, Jordan Hemphill and wife, Michelle, Chaney Wall and husband, Rob, Carson Hemphill; 14 great-grandchildren; brother: Bill Ramseur and wife, Edith; sisters, Dot Joines and husband, Bert, Geraldine Harbinson and husband, J.A., sisters-in-law, Vera Ramseur and Shirley Ramseur.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton, with Rev. Dr. J.A. Harbinson officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Newton.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home.
