Born, April 3, 1934, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Pete Folger Bray and Blance Leala Smith Bray.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Maiden, her church that she loved dearly.
She was an upholsterer for 30 years at Bassett Furniture.
She loved her family; she loved trips to WalMart and car rides.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Roger Preston Salmon and her son, Roger Dale Salmon; sisters, Colleen Cruse, and Shirley Willis.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Myra Lee Miller and husband, Doug, of Maiden, Trudy Amanda Salmon and husband, David Rye, of Newton, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Maiden with Reverend Alfred E. Andrews, III and Reverend Barry Pearce officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Newton.
Luke Lackey, Jordan Lackey, Michael Payne, Glenn Franklin, Daimon Franklin, and Robbie Tolbert will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton.
