Mary Walker Hicks

Born December 15, 1930, in Neva, TN, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Connie Walker and Lynnie Maxi Wright Walker and was a member of Old St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Newton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Harold Marshall Hicks; son, Steven Hicks and granddaughter, Johna Howard.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Eric Hicks and wife, Diana; daughter, Marsha Collins and husband, David; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; grandchildren, David Collins, Jr., Jessica Sherrill and husband, Cameron, Nicole Hopper and husband, Cody; 8 great-grandsons; 1 great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, June 10, 2019, at Old St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with Rev. Robert Sain officiating. Burial will follow in Old St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:45 at the church.
