Kathy Goble Tharpe

Kathy was born on January 21, 1956 to the late Joseph and Katheryn Goble. She is survived by her

husband, Joe Tharpe; son, Jonathan Tharpe and wife Katie; granddaughter, Koley Tharpe; sisters, Kay

Birkeli, Myra Jolly and Dotti Goble.

She will forever be remembered by her beautiful smile, bright eyes, and loving heart.

A gathering of friends will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday April 24, 2025 at Abernethy Memorial

Methodist Church in the Family Life Center. A celebration of life service will follow at 12 noon in the

sanctuary with Pastors Justin Grunewald and Tom Jones officiating. A private burial will be held at a

later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Corner Table or Abernethy Memorial Methodist

Church, both in Newton, NC
