Joseph "Jerry" Jerome Reardon Jr.

Born July 8, 1956 in Richmond, VA, he was the son of the late Joseph J. Reardon Sr. and Betsy Davis Reardon. Jerry was an eagle scout, bible study leader, sunday school teacher and counselor. He married Susan K. Sutton on August 7, 1976 in Hot Springs, AR. From 1975 to 1978, he earned his BA in Political Science at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. From 1978 to 1979, Jerry completed 30 hours in law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law. He was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel in 2002. During his 36 year career as a computer informations specialist, he served in several regional hospitals, including Adminstrator of I.S. at Catawba Valley Medical Center. He was president of the North Carolina Chapter of CHIME for two years.

Jerry Reardon was a valiant man who was loyal to his God, devoted to his family and exemplary in his character and good work ethic. His daughters knew him as a gentle father, always pointing them to Christ and His love for them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 40 years, Susan Sutton Reardon of the home; daughters, Elissa Reardon Fotta and husband, Ryan, of Raleigh, Emily Reardon Gouge and husband, Robert, of Newport News, VA, Erica Reardon Davis and husband, Michael of Newton; sister, Carolyn Reardon May of Little Rock, AR; grandchildren, Luke Gouge, Liam Gouge, Gracie Davis, Aubree Davis and Caleb Davis.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Harvest Bible Chapel in Hickory with Rev. Bo Nelson and Rev. Curtis Massey officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service in the foyer of the church.
