Wesley Thomas Bruce

Wes was born on October 6th 1985 to Thomas Bruce and Maggie Buchanan in Valencia, California. After graduating from Saugus High School in 2003, he went on to study technician training at Marine Mechanic Institute in Florida.

After graduation, he landed a job at Castaic Boat and Marine and then later began his ultimate profession as a foreman electrician for IBEW Local Union 11 for 14 years. During this time, Wes met his former wife Amber and welcomed their beautiful daughter Devon Lane into the world.

Wes was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Devon and his fiancé Kelly Turner and always did his best to support them. Wes was deeply looking forward to his upcoming marriage to Kelly on May 21, 2022.

Wes was also passionate about golf and could often be found at his favorite place away from home, next to the ocean at his father Tom’s house in Ventura.

Anyone who knew Wes knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Wes is survived by his father Tom, mother Maggie, sister Whitney, brother-in-law Jordan, nephews JR, Jaymison, Jackson, daughter Devon, and his true love Kelly.
