We praise the Lord for the 76 years the Lord gave Tom. Within those years the Lord graced him with the truth of the Scriptures to turn away from sin and turn to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for salvation. The Lord also blessed him with the kindest and most loving wife he could ever have in his wife, Sweet❤ and Caring Carin! A loyal friend, comrade and companion every step of the way, for she, too, has turned from sin and turned to Christ and so has received salvation. Their love for the Lord individually and together, and their love for each other is apparent. They have been faithful stewards of God's surpassing grace to all of us who know them. They now continue their good and faithful service as slaves of Christ. Together in heart they'll always be. Time is temporary for all of us on earth, but the follower of Christ has been given eternal life even in this temporary blip of time on earth. Those in heaven serve sinlessly in the glory of the Risen Christ, while His saints on earth focus on confessing and repenting while in our unredeemed flesh which is a beachhead for our own sin/lusts. The heavenly saints are glorified. The earthly saints are being sanctified as they await their glorification. All those who belong to the earth are serving Him today, whether in heaven or on earth - we are shoulder to shoulder and heart to heart, whether here on earth or "miles" apart. (How many "miles" is heaven from earth? Probably not calculatable in earthly increments.) Psalm 16;1-3 (nasb) "Preserve me, O God, for I take refuge in Thee. I said to the Lord,  "Thou art my Lord; I have no good besides Thee.'  As for the saints who are in the earth,  they are the majestic ones in whom is all my delight. "
