Richard Scott Poole

Passed away after a brief illness on January 24th, 2023.

Scott was born in Texarkana, Texas to Debbie Nelson and James Randle “Randy” Poole on June 3rd, 1971. He graduated from Texas High School in 1989. Upon graduation Scott moved to Dallas and worked for Cinemark USA. In 1992, while working in Dallas , he met his future wife, Kristin Schultz. They married on April 29, 1995 in Grapevine, Texas. He worked as a restaurant manager for Bennigan’s and was able to transfer to California in 1995. Scott quickly made a great name for himself and earned a good reputation working on films and television as a Location Manager and member of the Teamsters Union Local 399. Scott’s ability to make friends with anyone, having a good head for business, and providing quality customer service, kept Scott in high demand for over 28 years. He had a quick wit, and was always there to help a friend in need.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Debbie and Randy.

Scott is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kristin Poole, his sons Nelson Poole,(age 24) Garrett Poole (age 22), and daughter Lauren Poole (age 16). Scott loved spending time with his family. They enjoyed cooking together, eating out at a variety of restaurants, and traveling. His loud laugh and many jokes will never be forgotten.

The family of Scott wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all of those who have reached out to offer condolences. There will be a Celebration of Life to be held at later date.
