Nancy was born on March 4, 1947 in Los Angeles, California to John and Martha Nogle. She spent her childhood in Woodland Hills, California graduating from William Howard Taft High School. She married Robert “Bob” O’Neil, the love of her life, in 1965. Bob and Nancy moved to Valencia in 1969 where Nancy cared for her family and spent time playing softball, bunco, and drinking wine on the front lawn with the Bocina Bunch.
As her children grew older, Nancy attended several accounting classes at College of the Canyons. She used her bookkeeping skills and strong-willed nature to go on to start her own business in HOA management partnering with her parents and Pat and Carol Quinlan. Crown Management managed over 40 homeowners associations over a 30-year period. Nancy thrived on problem-solving many of the complicated aspects of HOA property management. She loved working with her Board members and went on to become friends with many of them.
Nancy had a passion for many things… pigs, Waterford crystal, card games and rummy tiles, traveling, scrapbooking, Longaberger baskets, the Department 56 Dickens’ Village, Byers Carolers, the Republican party and FOX News, Downton Abbey, and especially cooking but mostly all of those dogs that passed through her life – Moochi, Sammy, Zach I, Freddie, Ollie, Zach II, Jett, Max and Cooper.
Another passion was entertaining in her home. Over the years Nancy & Bob had literately hundreds of family and holiday parties bringing together people from all walks of life. This was both in Valencia and their home in Talking Rock, Prescott Ariz.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Robert(Bob)O’Neil; her daughter, Jennifer O’Neil; her son Jeffrey O’Neil(Deanna); her granddaughters Caitlin Miller(Shawn) and Emily Greene. She is also survived by her siblings Jane Benchener(Brian), Doug Nogle(Kathy), Susan Winters(Tim) and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on December 27, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 23045 Lyons Ave, Santa Clarita. Reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ASCPA Memorial Gifts (ASPCA.org) because she loved all her furry friends.
