Michael E. Garrett

Michael graduated from Millikin University and the University of Illinois, with a B.S. and M.A. degree respectively. He spent many years in education as a Mathematics teacher/administrator in Illinois and California ending his career at Mark Keppel High School in Alhambra, California. After retirement he worked with graduate students as a Student Teaching/Administrative Supervisor for Chapman/Brandman University. His love for music drew him to many types of musical venues such as brass band, orchestra, opera, jazz, musical theatre, country, and polka groups.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years, Margaret Louise; children, Margaret Colleen and Michael Railton Garrett (Leila); and grandchildren David Railton, Haley Elyse and Sophia Claire Garrett; and step grandson, Alex Baird. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patricia Rowland.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 7 at 1:30pm at The Salvation Army Tabernacle in Pasadena, 960 E. Walnut St. Pasadena, CA, 91106. He will be missed by all who knew him.
