Mary Ann Metz

Terri Quaintance in Valencia CA.

Mary Ann was born April 25, 1933. She was the first of two children born to William

Wesley Wright and Mary Adella (Hanson) Wright in Yankton SD. She graduated from

Yankton High School and Yankton College. Shortly after graduation she married Joseph

Metz of Yankton and moved to Long Beach CA where they raised their three children;

Michael, Terri and Timothy.

Mary Ann received her teaching credential from California State University Long Beach

and spent a long career as an elementary school teacher.

She loved spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren; Amy, Chris, Peter, Andrew, And Matthew and great-grandson; (Landyn).

Mary Ann was preceeded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 57 years

Joseph Metz and her son-in-law Lee J. Quaintance.

She is survived by her brother Bill (Diana) Wright of Fountain Valley CA, son Michael (Bonnie)

Metz of Stanton CA, daughter Terri Quaintance of Valencia CA, son Timothy (Ann) Metz of

Sacramento, five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Per her wishes Mary Ann's remains will be cremated.
