Maria Albanese of Santa Clarita, beloved wife of Salvatore Albanese passed peacefully into the loving hands of God on Friday, December 18, 2020. She was the loving mother of Loridana, John, and Gina. Maria was born July 10, 1939 in Reggio Calabria, Italy. She was the daughter of Maria Teresa and Vito Carabetta of Reggio Calabria, Italy. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, family members, and many friends.
Maria lived a remarkable life immigrating from Reggio Calabria, Italy to Los Angeles, California in 1957. She married and lived fully with the love of her life, Salvatore, her husband of 60 years. Her love for Sal and her family was immeasurable and always at the forefront of all her actions. Maria was a loving wife, mother of three children, grandmother of ten, and great-grandmother of four. She was a seamstress by trade for many years. Her cooking, her love of God, and her immense loyalty to family and friends are hallmark to her legacy.
While words can never express the depth of our feelings of love for Maria, our memories will continue to keep her spirit alive in our daily lives. Maria was a rose who’s blossoming leaves us forever blessed. May she rest peacefully in the hands of Jesus and Mary, and in the hearts of all of us who love her.
