Charles Roy McCorkle, 76, of Northridge, Passed away Wednesday Morning, May 8, 2013 at Kaiser Permanente in Woodland Hills. He was Born on August 15, 1936 in Tulsa Oklahoma, son of the late Charles Lawrence and Winnie Lee McCorkle. Mac, as he was known to family and friends, served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1962 and had worked as an electrician for most of his adult life until he retired in 2011. Mac was proud of and dedicated to his trade. He owned his own business, Mac's Electric for more than forty years and with his kind hearted nature would always put the needs of others before his by providing not only food and shelter but jobs to those who were in need. Mac was an avid Oklahoma Sooners football fan and also enjoyed other sports such as basketball and baseball. Mac loved his many pets and also enjoyed fishing, photography, cooking, nature, wildlife and the outdoors. Surviving are his wife of 16 years, Christine McCorkle of Northridge; children and their spouses,Charles (Mac Jr) and Carla McCorkle of Simi Valley, Chrissy and Tom Houghtalin of Granada Hills, Elaine and Steve Castro of Northridge and step-daughter and her spouse, Vanessa and Jason Perez of Northridge; grandchildren, Natasha Houghtalin, Tommy Houghtalin, Sean McCorkle, Bailey McCorkle, Joshua Guzman and Hannah Guzman; sister Nancy Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and brother and sister-in-law James and Susan McCorkle of Palmdale and many nieces and nephews in Oklahoma, Florida and New Mexico.
