She was 72.
Linda was born in Sulfa, Oklahoma on Feb 1, 1945 to loving Christian parents – Opal Marie and Ralph Irvin Lamb. Her father was a combat veteran of the US Army Infantry during WWII. As girl her father called her daddy’s little “Fatty”. The Lamb family relocated to Southern California, where Linda met and married Amazon River Emelio, and raised their children together in the Valley.
A devoted wife, loving mother, and beloved grandmother, Linda loved simple things; her garden, a clean house, movies of her youth, and the company of her family. She sewed her children's clothes and taught them to read. She wrote poetry and songs, as did her mother, and inspired her family to do the same. She held many jobs over her lifetime, supporting her family as both homemaker and worker, retiring after 27 years at Western Exterminator.
Although she spent most of her life in California, Linda was an Okie at heart. She lived her life always in service of others. She believed and trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ for her salvation and tried to honor him everyday.
Linda was preceded by her parents Opal and Ralph, sister Helen, and first born son Amazon River Emelio Jr.
She is survived by her brothers, Elbie and Tim; husband Amazon; their five children, Terry, Susan, Faio, James, and John; and her 17 grandchildren: AJ, Tianna, Ashley, Kyle, Jocelyn, Avi, Nathan, Leilani, Opal, Leonardo, Dylan, Dominic, Amazon, Sophia, Elijah, David, and James.
