Lea Curtice Whitaker

Curtice, as known by most family and long time friends will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Tiffany her son in law Marty, her two grandchildren Jaden and Kyen, her sisters, Gilda, Debra, Eloise and Yvette and her over 25 year long significant other, Tim.

Curtice will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, dear friends and best friends Valeria, Tanya, Dorothy and Ida.

A Native of Val Verde California, Curtice attended Castaic elementary, Arroyo Seco Junior High and graduated from Hart High School. Curtice was one of the first employee’s of Santa Clarita bank when it first opened on Lyons Ave, and proceeded to becoming a staple asset with the L.A. County Department of Parks and Recreation as the Park Manager for Val Verde Park for many years.

In her 30s, Curtice attended Valley Community College where she obtained her AA degree in Computer Information Technology. She proceeded in that field for over 30 years until her retirement in 2015.

A Celebration of Lea Curtice’s life will be held at 10am on Friday December 1, 2023 at Eternal Valley Memorial Park- 23287 Sierra Hwy Newhall, CA 9132, with Pastor Latisha Smith officiating.
