Judy is survived by her loving husband James of 52 years. They were married in Michigan on August 22, 1964.
Judy received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Eastern Michigan University before moving to California in the 1960’s. Judy worked as an English teacher with the Los Angeles Unified School District for many decades before her retirement from Nobel Middle School in 1999. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed travelling, reading and spending time with her family.
Judy is lovingly remembered by her husband James of Granada Hills; son Jamie (Kristyne) Bennett; daughter Jennifer (Ruben) Varela; four grandchildren Austin Bennett, Kamrynn Bennett, Gabrielle Varela, and Alex Varela; sister Mary Rasmussen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM June 30, 2017 at Knollwood United Methodist Church, 12121 Balboa Blvd, Granada Hills. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity in her memory.
