Jean Paul Maillet

Jean-Paul Joseph Maillet, 77, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 in Santa Clarita, CA. Jean-Paul was born May 17, 1941 in Abitibi (Quebec), Canada to parents Joseph Le ́on Armand Maillet and Marie Carmel Arsenault Maillet. He moved to the United States when he was 23 years old and had been a resident of the Los Angeles area since 1964. He was a retired upholsterer, who owned his own business, Rainbow Custom Upholstery, in Canoga Park for over 30 years. In his younger days he enjoyed camping, waterskiing, and scuba diving.

Jean-Paul is preceded in death by his mother Marie Carmel Arsenault Maillet, his father Joseph Le ́on Armand Maillet, his brothers Armand Maillet and Andre Maillet, his sister Jacqueline Maillet, as well as his niece Nathalie.

He is survived by his two children, Therese Markham of Allen, TX and Valerie Borstein of Los Angeles, CA, his brother Jacques Maillet and wife, his nieces Joanne, Nancy, Carol, Sylvie, his nephew Benoit, and his seven grandchildren.

A service will be held graveside on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in Newhall, CA.
