Helen Wadena Ballard

Visitation will be 11am Monday, October 23 at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in Newhall.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 23 at Eternal Valley Chapel. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Eternal Valley.

Helen was born in Lake Benton, MN to Christian and Jenny on March 18 1922. She went to school at Lake Benton, MN. She married Roger W. Ballard on July 13, 1941 in Glendale, CA. She worked as a sales person for Fedco for several years and was a homemaker for six decades. She was involved in Calvary Lutheran Church in Arleta since its founding in the early 1950s.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband Roger, sister Joyce Thomas, and brothers Ken and Glen Hansen.

Helen is survived by children Jerryn, Larry and David, grandchildren Macushla Roulleau, Danielle and Frances Ballard, Kirsten Ramirez, and great grandchildren Miranda Roulleau, and Lenyn, Rowan and Nyla Ramirez.

Memorials may be given to Calvary Lutheran Church in Arleta.

The family of Helen Ballard wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Kaiser Permanente and the long list of their health professionals, nurses and hospice workers that assisted her throughout her life, the numerous home caregivers, the congregation of Calvary Lutheran Church and especially Jim and Mary Thomas, and her sisters Ann and Diane.
