Gordon Bruce Curry passed away peacefully with his family at his side on April 1, 2011. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on July 28, 1927, he moved his family to North Hollywood, CA in 1957. He began as a gas station attendant for Standard Oil Company. He later became a ready mix truck driver for Arrow Rock and Livingston-Graham in Sun Valley. Even after his retirement, he managed apartment buildings in Van Nuys and Northridge with his wife Hannah Jean Curry. Gordon was a loving husband to Hannah, devoted father of John (Carol), Diana and Robert (Gayle); cherished Grandfather to Kimberly (Matthew), Chrystal, Robin (Andy) John, Samantha and Kasmere; great-grandfather to Raiden, Halie, Marcus, Dylan and Lailaney. His family always came first and friends of his children and grandchildren became part of his extended family. He was a giving person and supported many charities throughout the years, especially when it came to children. His compassion for all of God's creatures allowed him to hold a soft spot in his heart for wayward animals. Gordon's great love in life were the mighty Wurlitzer organs and was a member of the American Theater Organ Society. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Evelyn and wife Hannah. A reception will follow the services at Hart Park in Newhall, California.
Arrangements under the direction of Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, Newhall, CA.
