I have always believed that Friends are never earned, they are a gift from a loving God.  After sharing the boundless friendship and sincere love of Evie and Jerry Smith for just a little while I recalled this sentiment with new and refreshed understanding and comprehension. We were honored and blessed to have Evie and Jerry join our family. The wisdom, joys and sorrows of their life time of  adventures together made for wonderful story telling.  Evie always asked to see the latest photos of our grandchildren, and in turn shared hers with us. Evie always asked to see photos of Jackie's latest projects, be it cakes, ceramics or jewelry.  She was always filled with support and encouragement. Our family will forever cherish the gift of her friendship and love.

Evie showed unconditional love to everyone.  She always had a kind word and told us that she loved us & would miss us when we would leave. She & Jerry became part of our family. She will be dearly missed.

My heart goes out to you and your family at this difficult time and in the days ahead.  May your many memories bring you strength and comfort.
