Elva Gonzalez Colmenares

It is with great sadness that the family of Elva Gonzalez Colmenares announces her passing on Friday, April 5th, 2024, at the age of 80. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and compassion that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.

Elva will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters: Maria del Carmen Bazurto, Leticia Colmenares, and Sandra Burroughs. She will also be deeply missed by her seven grandchildren: Jennifer Lopez, Melissa Gomez, Alexis Bazurto, Jessica Walls, Ashley Burroughs, Bryan Burroughs, and Christian Burroughs, as well as her great-grandson, Caleb Gomez.

In addition, Elva is survived by her cherished sons-in-law, Fidel Bazurto and Mason Burroughs, and her siblings: Maria de Jesus Sevilla, Celia Chavez, Salvador Gonzalez, Guadalupe Gonzalez, Juan Gonzalez, and Everardo Gonzalez.

A viewing to honor Elva's life will take place on Thursday, May 16th, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, at Eternal Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary, located at 23287 North Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321, in the Monarch Chapel. The Mass celebration will be held on Friday, May 17th, at 1:00 pm, at St. Clare Catholic Church, located at 19606 Calla Way, Canyon Country, CA 91351. Following the Mass, funeral services will be held at Eternal Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary, with a reception to follow at the St. Clare Parish Hall.

Elva's unwavering faith and boundless love touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of her family and the grace of God
