Elizabeth was born in Oakland, California, April 20, 1931 to Lavinia and Walter
Stevenson. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1949 and went to work
for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in San Francisco. Elizabeth married
Michael Scollo at Old Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, San Francisco, on
September 16, 1949.
Elizabeth and Michael moved to New York to start their new life together and a
year later welcomed their first child, Michael Jr. They went on to have two
more children, David and Susan. Elizabeth and her family settled in Smithtown,
Long Island, New York for many happy years.
After their youngest graduated, Elizabeth and Michael ventured back to the
West Coast and moved to Granada Hills, California where Elizabeth stayed
until the death of her beloved husband in 1987.
Elizabeth went on to live with her daughter Susan and her husband, Brian
McWilliams, in Santa Clarita, California.
Elizabeth returned to schooling and Graduated from College of the Canyons
with a Associates Degree. She went on to work as a Medical Assistant at Sterling
Canyon, an assisted living facility in Valencia, California. Ironically, Elizabeth
spent the last 9 months of her life living in this same facility.
Elizabeth had many talents and hobbies including: Painting, Crafting,
Crocheting, Sewing, Bowling, Reading and Astronomy.
She is survived by her children, Michael Scollo (Patricia), David Scollo
(Sherida) and Susan McWilliams (William Musolf); and 3 Grandchildren,
Michael, Allison (Christopher Shafer) and Sarah.
Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Eternal Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary in
Newhall, California on September 15, 2022.
