Dragana was born in 1965 in Belgrade, Serbia, formerly known as Yugoslavia. She was very ambitious from a young age and moved to Canada at only 18 to achieve a better life in North America. She received an Associates Degree in Hematology/Histopathology at Dawson College in 1989 in Montreal, Canada. After settling down in Canada for a few years, she would follow her close cousins Nena and Mira (who she called her sisters) to San Luis Obispo, California, entering the United States through NAFTA by securing a job as a dental laboratory technician.
A few short years later, Dragana became a mother in 1996 when Dave and Dragana welcomed their daughter Hannah into this world. Dragana was a devoted mother who’s primary focus in life became giving her daughter the best life possible. In 2005, Dragana started working at Hannah’s school, Hillcrest Christian School where Hannah graduated in 2014. Dragana continued to work at HCS for a total of 15 years as the school’s Cafe Manager. There she impacted many students’ lives with her charming Serbian accent and witty sense of humor. She loved to call the kids at school her little “brats” (which she meant in the best way possible). She had a heart for the Lord Jesus Christ, and was a living example of what true servant leadership meant at her school and to her friends. She loved to host friends and family regularly at her home with a cheerful attitude and a table full of Hors d’Oeuvres so that no guest would ever go hungry in her home.
Dragana is survived by her daughter Hannah and son-in-law Nathan, her mother Milina, her step father Milorad, her step sisters Mirela and Renata, her cousins Nena, Mira, and Zorica, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
