Bernie Reyes, a 65 year resident of the Santa Clarita Valley, died on September 5, 2011 in Palmdale, Ca. He was 96 years old. Bernie was born on August 20, 1915 in Aguascalientes, Mexico. He was an Army Infantry WWII Veteran.
Bernie is survived by his children, Patricia Georgiana, Daniel (Stacy) Reyes, Rebecca (Ray) Hurd, Mary MacTaggart, Elizabeth (Randy) Bergeron, Diane (Tom) Gavin, and Robert (Sue) Reyes; his 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. His wife, Socorro Reyes and his son, Richard Reyes preceded Bernie in death.
A visitation will be held today, September 9, 2011 from 4pm to 5pm with the Rosary at 5pm and Mass at 5:30pm at St. Clare's Catholic Church, 19606 Calla Way, Canyon Country. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 10am at Eternal Valley Memorial Park. Arrangements under the direction of Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, Newhall, CA.
