Born on April 8th of 1948, in San Bernadino, California.He was a Vietnam Veteran and was awarded a Vietnam Campaign Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal, and a Defense Service Medal while serving in the United States Marine Corps. After his service in the Marines, Arthur worked as a machinist for Lockheed for 16 years, and then went on to serve as an Animal Control Officer for the City Of Los Angeles for 17 years.Arthur has been a resident of the Antelope Valley for the last 20 years
He was big hearted and very out spoken. He loved his job working with animals at the animal shelter. He was proud to have served his country in the Vietnam War as a Marine. He loved helping others, loved being with his family, camping, bowling, having barbecues and just being outdoors.
Arthur is survived by his daughters Lisa Mejia, and Kim Carranza. His grandchildren Anna Mejia, Anthony Mejia, Nalani Carranza, Holly Mejia, Landon Carranza, Christopher Sioussat, Kyle Carranza, Kayla Carranza, Chloe Carranza, and Sophia Campos. Arthur is preceded in death by his son, Arthur Robert, Meza Jr.
Arthur will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held for Arthur on Tuesday, January 15th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary
