Mrs. Anky Smit Lubkeman

She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Lubkeman, a U.S. Foreign Service Officer, whom she met while working at the U.S. Consulate in Rotterdam. They enjoyed an adventurous life together, traveling the world and serving in Venice, Milan, Panama, Stockholm, Madrid, and The Hague, before retiring in Annandale, Virginia. She was the mother to three children - Mark and his wife Gretchyn, Brian and his wife Suzanne, and Sandra and her husband Paul. She also leaves behind four grandchildren - Jordan, Max, Nicolaas and Kendall, and two brothers, Tom and Bob.

Her love and strength will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of Flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Stroke Association.
