Andrew Michael Cruz

He was born to William and Annie Cruz on August 11, 1960 in Los Angeles, CA. Andrew graduated from Cantwell High School in Montebello and received a BS double major in Physics and Chemistry at La Verne University in 1982. He attended Northwestern University Dentistry School in Illinois and received his DDS in 1986. Andrew married Cynthia Parkinson in 1989 and later divorced. They have three daughters.

He was a member of the ADA for 26 years and practiced dentistry in the Santa Clarita area.

Andrew was passionate about music. He played the guitar and a mean harmonica and served as the historian for The David Fernandez Songwriter Salute Series. He loved riding his Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle. If Andrew wasn’t working, spending time with his daughters, or playing music, he was riding the Harley with girlfriend April Eudy.

He is survived by his children: Ashley Cruz, Megan Cruz, and Lauren Cruz of Valencia, CA; his parents of Monterey Park, CA; brother Alex and sister-in-law Margaret Cruz, of Glendora, CA. CA; sister Sylvia and brother-in-law Stan Lottes, of San Dimas, CA; and sister Susan Cruz, of Monterey Park, CA. He is also survived by four aunts, two uncles, seven cousins, four nieces and a nephew.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 in the Chapel of the Hills, Eternal Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary. The family suggests memorial contributions be made for Andrew’s daughters; these may be sent to Susan Cruz, c/o Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, 23287 N. Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321.
