William J. Sturgeon

William Joseph Sturgeon, 79, of Newburgh, a loving, faithful, husband and father, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Deaconess Gateway. He was born March 23, 1938, in Washington, Indiana, to the late William and Alice (Dailey) Sturgeon. William was a Marine Veteran and had served for two years in Okinawa, Japan. He retired, after 40 years, with the Peter Eckrich Company as a District Branch Manager in Evansville. He enjoyed fishing, photography, walking through the woods and an avid reader, especially the Civil War. He is survived by his wife of 58 years and the love of his life, Diane; son, William (Janet) Sturgeon of Bloomington, IL; daughter, Kimberly Sturgeon of Indianapolis, IN; son, Michael Alan Sturgeon (Nicole) of CA; daughter Jean Hendricks of Frankton, IN; grandchildren, who all loved and respected him, Shawna, Kyle, Brian, Dean, Allison, Dakota, and Madison; great grandchild, Treyton.
