William E. "Bill" McCool

Bill served in the Marine Corps Reserve and retired after 31 years of Executive Management in the insurance industry. He retired to Lake Barkley where he was an avid boater. Bill enjoyed cooking and woodworking. He also enjoyed spending summers with his daughter and grandchildren in Maine.

Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan McCool, six months ago in Brunswick, Maine.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judie Horstketter McCool of Cadiz, KY; son, Michael McCool (Lisa) of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Jason and Lindsey Miller, Sam, Max, and Lillian McCool; great-grandchildren, Bella and Kayden Mayo; sisters, Martha Lou Koup of Indianapolis, IN, Mary Seibert (Bob) of Evansville, IN; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was loved and will be missed by a lifetime accumulation of close friends and family.

Services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, April 20, 2012, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, Newburgh, IN, officiated by Pastor Mike Claypool, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville, IN. Visitation will be Friday, 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
