She was a homemaker and formerly worked as a medical billing specialist for Custom Data. Sandy was always available whenever anyone needed help. She was an animal lover. Sandy and her husband enjoyed camping and laying on the beach in Florida. She was “Nana” to everybody, her main love was her family.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Craig Hopkins and Von Windles.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jim Chilton; step-father, Charles Hopkins; son, Steve Chilton (Tammy); son, Brian Chilton (Lori); grandchildren, Tara Hagler (Jeff), Whitney Houchin (Jacob), Kyle Chilton (Kimberly), Logan Greene, Hayden Chilton, and Carter Chilton; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Easton, Adalynn, Emma, Joel, Vincent, Skyler, and Jasper; and several nieces and nephews.
Sandy’s wish was to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261.
