Bob was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana and graduated from Bosse High School. Bob was a self taught master of repairing anything. This ability helped Bob as a crew chief when he served as an Airman First Class in the US Air Force. While he was stationed in England, Bob met and married his wife Lynne. His love of repairing things led him to start a tool repair business, Tri-State Repair Service, Inc, in 1970. After 35 years, Bob stepped away to enjoy a well deserved retirement. That didn’t stop him from coming in to help out when he had time. Bob loved being outdoors and being with his family. All of his life, he was always there to help out a family member, friend or stranger without being asked.
Bob was a loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.
Bob is survived by daughters, Donna Marcrum (Rick), Delia Carey (Shawn), and Julie Wucki (Steve); grandchildren, Amy Halpin (Geoff), Sarah Peterson (Tyler), Caitlyn Courtney, Adam Carey, Joshua Wucki (Stephanie) and Michael Wucki; great-grandson, Matthew Wucki; and brother, Dr. Edward Wheeler. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Lynne Wheeler; his father, Edward Wheeler and his mother, Louise Wheeler.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses and staff at the Linda E. White Hospice Home for their compassion and care of Bob during his time there.
