Richard worked in maintenance at St. Mary’s Hospital for 20 years. He was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church. He served in the US Army and was the past Commander of Kapperman Post #44 American Legion. He loved his family, NASCAR races, cigars and his bird, Tootsie.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (Kight) Wynn in 2007.
He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Wynn Smith; son, Richard Scott Wynn (Tracey); and grandchildren, Chris (Katie), Jacob, Michael, and Jordan Wynn.
Services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Rev. Eric Martin with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed at the cemetery by American Legion Kapperman Post 44. Friends may visit Wednesday, 4-8 PM, and 10:00 AM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
