Nancy J. Barner

She graduated from Bosse High School in 1950 where she was a member of the choir and was involved with the Rainbow Girls and the National Honor Society. Her first husband, Ralph worked for many years with Indiana Bell Co. He was in auto accident in 1977. Her second husband, Idus worked with Idus Bush Co. Excavating. They moved to Lake Alfred, FL in 1982 and were members of Sherwood Community Chapel in Kissimmee, FL. Her third husband, Sam was a retired building contractor. Nancy returned to Newburgh in 2014.

Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Gregory David Townsend; first husband, Ralph R. Townsend in 1977; second husband, Idus O. Bush in 2000; third husband, Sam E. Barner in 2014; brother, James Albert Jandebeur, and several brother-in-laws and sisters-in-law.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth D. Haas (Gregory); eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

A Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 10, 2021 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Rev. John Wongler, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the funeral home.
