Mary was retired from Sears after 31 years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She enjoyed her family, friends, music, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51-1/2 years, David Patterson; sisters, Doris Carrell, Jeanette Williams, and Ruth Baughn.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Melanda Hopper (Joe) of Chandler; granddaughters, Lisa Hensley (Mike) of Canmer, KY and Robin Schneider (Kevin) of Chandler; great-grandson, Owen Schneider; brother, Gene Schmidt of Newburgh; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at St. John the Baptist Church, 625 Frame Road, Newburgh, IN, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexander Newburgh Chapel.
