Linda Marie Nelson

Linda Marie Nelson, 69, of Boonville, Indiana, entered into Heaven on Friday, September 2, 2022, at her home. She was born February 8, 1953, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Jerome and Mary (Mayer) Voelker. Linda graduated from Mater Dei High School, Class of 1971. She loved family, fishing, traveling, UE Basketball, and her grandson, Dax. Linda had worked at Schnucks in Newburgh for 29 years. She attended St. Clements Catholic Church in Boonville. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Tucker Damon Nelson; and sister-in-law, Marsha. Linda is survived by her husband of 51 years, Mark D. Nelson, Sr.; son, Mark D. Nelson, Jr. (Jenna); grandson, Dax Andrew Nelson; brothers, Fred Voelker, Dennis Voelker (Diane) and Bill V. Voelker (Cathy); brother-in-law, David Nelson (Mary), Jerry Rager (Suzie) and Terry Rager (Myra). A Celebration of Life Service will be 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2022 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261. Family and friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Dinner afterward will be at American Legion Kapperman Post 44 in Newburgh.
