Laura Katherine Warner Johnson

She was a life-long member of Zion United Church of Christ in Newburgh where she was involved in the Quilters Group. Laura was a member of O.E.S. Friendship Chapter #32. She retired from Bristol Myers where she worked as a secretary for 33 years.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Al Warner; sisters, Rosa John, Edna Johnson; and brother, George Schneider.

She is survived by her husband, Ed Johnson of Newburgh; Laura’s son, Fred McDonald (Kay) of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Kathie McClure of Louisville, KY, Suzan Slayden and Gina Brandstetter of Murfreesboro, TN, Cindy Adams of Murray, KY; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and Ed’s children, Mary Ann Frame, Nancy Maxwell, Lewis, Roger and Charlie Johnson; and 8 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Rev. Dan Kennedy with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit 11:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
